The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Michael Huerta announced on Thursday the membership of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Registration Task Force. The 25-member Task Force include Google, Amazon, Walmart and GoPro executives. The group is composed of experts from drone manufacturers, aviation associations, retailers and others, providing a good variety of perspectives.
“The Task Force membership represents a range of stakeholder viewpoints, interests and knowledge of the objectives and scope,” according to the FAA. While Task Force membership was by invitation only, participation is voluntary.
Interested parties who are not members of this Task Force are invited to submit comments to the public docket located here, while the Federal Notice is available for viewing here.
