Alphabet’s Waymo on Wednesday unveiled its commercial self-driving service, Waymo One, to hundreds of early riders who have already been using their technology.
Riders will have access to an app which they can use it to call Waymo self-driving vehicles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the company stated. They can ride across several cities in the Metro Phoenix area, including Chandler, Tempe, Mesa, and Gilbert.
Riders will also have access to an in-car console and screens to connect with rider support, or they can do so from their phone. Up to three adults and a child can ride at a time.

Since self-driving technology is new to many, the company said it is proceeding cautiously, and initially, Waymo-trained drivers will supervise the Waymo One vehicles.
The company said it hopes to make Waymo One available to even more members of the public as they add vehicles and drive in more places.
