A hacker group calling itself OurMine managed to hack into Netflix’s Twitter feed on Wednesday, posting a series of tweets. The streaming service moved quickly to resolve the issue, but the hacker group continued to send tweets from Netflix’s Twitter account.
Netflix has removed the tweets, one of which stated that the hacker group was testing security. “Hey, it’s OurMine, Don’t worry we are just testing your security, contact us to tell you more about that,” read a tweet from the group.
OurMine also usually promotes its services during such incidents, and this was no different. The group tweeted out its email address and logo to the nearly 2.5 million Twitter followers of the Netflix US account.
Netflix is merely the latest in a long line of targets which include Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
